Public transport was halted, roads were blocked, clashes were reported as normal life was brought to a standstill by 10 central trade unions protesting against the Modi government. The 48 hour strike called by the unions is set to continue today, as lakhs are expected to join the demonstrations escalating their 12 demands listed to the Modi government.
