Pentagon Chief Of Staff Announces Resignation

According to CNN, Pentagon chief of staff Kevin Sweeney has resigned after two years in the role. In a statement Sweeney said, "I've decided the time is right to return to the private sector. It has been an honor to serve again alongside the men and women of the Department of Defense." Sources add that the White House forced Sweeney out due to him being a hire of former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis.
