President Trump thanked Kanye West on Saturday for his kind words.

President Trump praised Kanye West on Twitter after he recently reaffirmed his support for the president.
"Thank you to Kanye West for your nice words. Criminal Justice Reform is now law - passed in a very bipartisan way!" Trump tweeted Saturday morning.
The tweet follows Trump's positive words about West during his Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Trump commented on the record low unemployment rates and stated: "Even Kanye West came out...and said great things about Trump.…He's smart. He sees what we're doing."  The day prior, West tweeted, "Trump all day," and soon after added, "Just so in 2019 you know where I stand." 
The messages came after West's October visit to the White House during which he met with Trump wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
"West's affinity for Trump predates his MAGA-hat-wearing days. In November 2016, West said he didn't vote for president, but if he had, he would have voted for Trump," notes the Washington Post.
