Equity Markets Are Up Around The World

According to Reuters, equity markets around the world rallied at the end of the first week in the new year.
MSCI's world stock index spiked about 2.5-percent, with gains made in the Asian, European, and US markets.
In Europe, the Stoxx 600 index rose about 2.8-percent, while Germany's DAX index rose about 3.4-percent.
On Wall Street, the top three markets were trading up over 3-percent each, led by the Nasdaq Composite, which rose about 4.5-percent, adding almost 290-points.
