Actor, Dead at 76 According to 'Deadline,'
Einstein died Wednesday after
being diagnosed with cancer. The type of cancer he had and whether it directly affected his death has not yet been reported. Einstein was known for playing
the character Marty Funkhouser
on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and appeared in many episodes between 2004-2011. Prior to his 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'
success, Einstein made a name for himself
as a comedy writer and producer. His work on 'The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,' 'Van Dyke and Company' and 'The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour' put him on
the map. Einstein was also the creator of the beloved character Super Dave Osborne, which appeared on a variety of shows throughout his career. Richard Lewis, Einstein's co-star
on the show, took to Twitter
to express his condolences. Albert Brooks, Einstein's brother,
also took to Twitter to comment.
