Countdown at Bosingak marks the beginning of a brand new year

Alright, thanks for that Hyeong-woo. See you in 2019
We're getting closer and closer to midnight, so let's go back to our Park Hee-jun standing by at the Bosingak Pavilion in downtown Seoul.
Happy almost-new year, Hee-jun-- tell us more.

We’re just minutes away from 2019.
Things have reached peak here at the Bosingak Pavilion.
Excuse me for yelling at you guys -- there’s just so many people here celebrating and the stage is getting ready for the bell-ringing ceremony at midnight.

You can probably feel things heating up as well as the people get ready for the countdown.
Now in a few moments' time at 11:59, 16 people, including the Seoul mayor, will be ringing that bell behind me.
And they'll strike the bell 33 times,... which will mark the beginning of 2019.
Even after midnight, various events are lined up, including the mayor's New Year's address and some performances.
So stick around for a long night of fun and partying.
Only one thing kinda bums me out -- and that's that in Korea, the tradition is you get another year older after midnight.

But anyhow, may 2019 be the best year of our lives.
Happy new year Semin and Devin.
I'll see you guys next year.
