A certain subsection of young people are at far greater risk of developing a rare bacterial infection.
College students ages 18-24 are 3.5 times likely to develop a meningococcus B than other people.
According to UPI, a MenB infection can cause a deadly blood disease.
There is a vaccine for MenB, but at $300 - $400 for two shots, it isn't recommended for college students.
