Hey wutzup, today I'm going to share some ideas on getting more views for your videos and content. A few of these things I'm going to change on my videos, so I want to share some of my ideas and you can tell me what you think in the comments below.

For the longest time in the description the first sentence of all my videos was click on the link below to get more tips and ideas to grow your affiliate business.

This is the whole point of me making videos is to get traffic, but do you see the problem with this? Yea, this description, first 2 sentences shows up when people are going through videos.

It's a prime peace of real estate that I can develop on. Instead the first 2 sentences I can change it to something that drives curiosity, so people want to click on my video.

Another thing, which I'm going to do more of is have numbers in my title as much as I can. Notice how in this title it says 7 items?

I got this idea from someone on Medium who writes articles and they just work and I believe that. Also, anything that makes me different I'm going to continue to do and since everyone is using custom thumbnails I'm not going to go custom thumbnails, which I have not for a long time.

Also in titles, I'm going to try to use more question marks because when there is a question people feel like they want to know the answer and give their 2 cents. At the time of this video my click through rate for my videos is 9%.

Half of all channels and videos on YouTube have an impressions CTR that can range between 2% and 10% according to YouTube. This is not bad, I would argue it's because I'm not using custom thumbnails.

Another idea I have because comments is good is to ask controversial questions when in your video. Then when someone comments, this helps with engagement and more views.

For example what I've been doing is going to similar YouTube videos and commenting with something that is valuable like a short tip on the topic, so it's relevant then to a link back to my video. This helps another person's channel because I'm leaving a comment.

Is that spam? Especially if someone has a lot of views. I feel like if that adds value to the real estate then that is a good thing. Is this good, let me know by leaving a comment below.

Another tip if you are on YouTube like me is to use Dailymotion. I've gotten a lot of views on Dailymotion and that is another video sharing platform.

Also Anchor.Fm is amazing with traffic. This is a podcasting platform that is very good. Lastly, I do go after not very competitive keywords, but I'm going to search for even more low hanging fruit.

What I do with keywords is first go to Google Keyword Planner and I've looking for something with 100-1k traffic and then I type that keyword into Google in quotation marks and this shows me how many pages are competing.
