Trump Fires Back At CNN Over Signing MAGA Hats In Iraq: 'Can You Imagine Me Saying No?'

President Trump on Thursday again went after CNN on Twitter.

President Trump slammed CNN on Thursday over the negative coverage of him signing "Make America Great Again" hats in Iraq for US soldiers.
"CNN & others within the Fake News Universe were going wild about my signing MAGA hats for our military in Iraq and Germany," Trump tweeted. "If these brave young people ask me to sign their hat, I will sign. Can you imagine my saying NO? We brought or gave NO hats as the Fake News first reported!"
Hours prior, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also weighed in, tweeting: "CNN will attack anyone who supports President Trump, including the brave men and women of our military who fight everyday to protect our freedom."
Earlier, CNN noted about Trump's recent visit to Iraq that he received "an enthusiastic reception from many US troops there -- some of whom may have run afoul of military rules."
"The questions arose because the hats, emblazoned with the President's signature political slogan, appeared to be brand new and because there are rules against military personnel participating in political activities while in uniform," CNN added.
