President Moon chairs meeting to inspect S. Korea's economic policy direction for 2019
  • 5 years ago
In another example of how seriously the South Korean government is taking efforts to boost the economy,... President Moon Jae-in, himself, is chairing today's meeting of the National Economic Advisory Council.
The meeting started moments ago with about 30 officials attending the meeting.
It's likely that President Moon, his economic advisers and ministers will first evaluate the government's big economic thrust this year,... such as income-led growth and sharply hiking the minimum wage.
They are also expected to discuss and take a closer look at the economic policy direction for the new year.
This is the first time in exactly a year since the president last presided over one of the council's meetings.
