Trump originally had been scheduled to travel to his Florida resort with his family for the end of year holidays, but said he would stay in WashinIgton if he and lawmakers didn't decide on a budget deal to avert a partial government shutdown. It is still not clear how long President Trump will remain in the capital during the holiday season.
