Hillary Clinton Blasts Trump's Syria Withdrawal: 'Playing Into Russia And Iran’s Hands Is Foolish'

Hillary Clinton slammed President Trump on his Syria decision.

Hillary Clinton on Friday slammed President Trump's decision to withdraw US troops from Syria.
"Actions have consequences, and whether we're in Syria or not, the people who want to harm us are there & at war. Isolationism is weakness. Empowering ISIS is dangerous. Playing into Russia & Iran's hands is foolish. This President is putting our national security at grave risk," Clinton tweeted.
Meanwhile, Trump has defended his decision through numerous tweets.
"Getting out of Syria was no surprise," Trump tweeted Thursday. "I've been campaigning on it for years, and six months ago, when I very publicly wanted to do it, I agreed to stay longer. Russia, Iran, Syria & others are the local enemy of ISIS. We were doing there work. Time to come home & rebuild. #MAGA."
He continued: "Does the USA want to be the Policeman of the Middle East, getting NOTHING but spending precious lives and trillions of dollars protecting others who, in almost all cases, do not appreciate what we are doing? Do we want to be there forever? Time for others to finally fight Russia, Iran, Syria & many others are not happy about the U.S. leaving, despite what the Fake News says, because now they will have to fight ISIS and others, who they hate, without us. I am building by far the most powerful military in the world. ISIS hits us they are doomed!"
In another tweet on Wednesday, Trump claimed that "we have defeated ISIS in Syria."
Trump's remarks have sparked widespread criticism, even from Republicans who have defended him in the past.
"Withdrawal of this small American force in Syria would be a huge Obama-like mistake," Senator Lindsey Graham tweeted. "With all due respect, ISIS is not defeated in Syria, Iraq, and after just returning from visiting there -- certainly not Afghanistan."
