South Korea was once at the receiving end of ODA or Official Development Assistance from other countries,... but in recent years it's been giving back.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said Friday... the country has spent a combined 71-point-5-million U.S. dollars over the past seven years to help 23 developing countries through ODA in the industrial technology and energy sectors.
In the city of Laoag, in the Philippines, Korea helped provide electricity to some 15-thousand households.
The ministry also touted the cases of Vietnam and Uzbekistan... where farming equipment was made jointly by local and Korean companies... for export to other developing countries like Myanmar and Turkmenistan.
