U.S. stocks plunge as federal government shutdown adds to worries

U.S. stocks were down again on Thursday... on threat of a partial government shutdown plus concerns over the Federal Reserve raising rates.
President Trump told House Republicans he will not sign a government funding bill unless it includes more funding for border security.
The Dow dropped 464 points, or nearly two percent, and the S&P 500 slumped 1-point-six percent.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq also fell 1-point-six percent.
If the Dow finishes the year at its current level, it'll post its worst year since 2008.
