Lung cancer screening added to Korea's five major cancer screenings

Starting in July, lung cancer will be added to the national cancer screenings.
According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, lung cancer screenings will be provided for those aged 54 and over and those who have been smoking at least one pack of cigarettes a day for more than 30 years.
Lung cancer will be the sixth type of cancer screened in Korea. Currently stomach, liver, colorectal, breast and cervical cancers are screened.
Also, in order to detect and treat depression among the younger generation, a depression test will be conducted for those aged between 20 and 30 years old.
