Former Vice President Joe Biden received the highest favorability rating among Democrats who are considered possible 2020 presidential contenders.  53% of the 1,147 participants in the Quinnipiac University National Poll, which was conducted from December 12 to December 17, expressed positive opinions of Biden, while 33% indicated otherwise.
The second-highest approval rating went to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), with 44% favorable to 42% unfavorable.  Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) were the only others in the field of possible Democratic presidential candidates to come out with more positive responses than negative ones.  "Democrats with net-negative favorability ratings include Sen. Cory Booker (N.J.), former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren," reports The Hill. Quinnipiac notes that, in a number of cases, participants said they didn't know enough about individual candidates to express an opinion either way.
