UN passes North Korean human rights resolution with consensus

The United Nations has passed a new North Korean human rights resolution by consensus ,... condemning the regime's human rights violations and urging for improvement.
This is the 14th straight year such a resolution has been passed and the fifth time it has been adopted by consensus.
It was jointly drafted by the EU and Japan and jointly sponsored by more than 60 countries.
North Korea's ambassador to the UN denounced the resolution,... saying such violations do not exist and that they've been manipulated by several defectors.
