Dead turtle found stuffed with plastic

A dead turtle found on an Indonesian beach appears to have eaten a large amount of plastic, in a graphic indication of the toll such pollution takes on marine environments. The carcass was found on Congot beach in central Yogyakarta on December 9, 2018 – a month after a dead sperm whale with more than 6kg (13lbs) of plastic in its stomach was discovered in an Indonesian national park.
Jakarta has set a target to reduce waste by 70 per cent by 2025, but some environmentalists blame the country – along with China, the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand – for up to 60 per cent of plastic waste that makes its way into oceans.
