Trump's ex-lawyer Michael Cohen jailed for 3 years for covering up Trump's 'dirty deeds'
President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen has been sentenced to three years in jail for a slew of irregularities surrounding Trump's presidential campaign.
The charges include lying to Congress about Trump's business dealings in Russia and funneling hush money to two women who claimed to have had an affair with the president..
Once known as Trump's "fixer", Cohen told a federal judge on Wednesday that his "blind loyalty" to his boss led him to cover up what he called the president's "dirty deeds."
Cohen becomes the first member of President Trump's inner circle to be jailed over Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
