New Report Says Popular Apps Are Tracking Your Every Move

We all know that enabling location services for third-party apps compromises our privacy. But a new investigative New York Times report details just how creepy and personal smartphone location data can be. According to the report, at least 75 companies get “anonymous” but very precise app location data from about 200 million smartphones in America. Gizmodo reported that some of these companies get that data as much as 14,000 times a day.
