Chinese court bans import, sale of nearly all iPhone models amid patent spat with Qualcomm

A Chinese court has banned the sale and import of most Apple iPhones amid a patent spat with the microchip company Qualcomm.
The court granted two injunctions against Apple subsidiaries in China, ordering the firm to stop sales of the iPhone 6S through to the iPhone X.
The ruling does not affect the latest XS and XR models as they were not yet available when Qualcomm filed its lawsuit late last year.
Qualcomm says Apple owes it money for using its technology.
Apple played down the ruling, saying it only applied to phones that were running older versions of its software and that as a result all of its iPhone models would remain on sale.
The firm also said it would appeal the ruling.
