Several injured after stage collapses during kabaddi match in central India

Several people were injured on Monday during the kabaddi match in the city of Chandrapur Maharashtra in India when a stage collapsed.

The incident happened when dozens of supporters of local politician Sanjay Dhote was sitting with 59 of his supporter when the stage collapsed.

The structure could not take the weight of the large number of people and collapsed, sending those seated crashing to the ground.

Several spectators were treated for minor injuries.
