According to a report by Comicbook.com, on Saturday, following Marvel Studios' release of the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame, directors Joe and Anthony Russo thanked fans for their 'patience' in the long build-up to its release. The Russo brothers have teased that the fourth Avengers film will be unlike anything Marvel fans have experienced before in film or comics. Joe Russo reportedly said, "I don't think there are any comics that correlate to it. I think we're in pretty fresh territory with Avengers 4." Russo went on to say that despite being a fan of the source material, "I have no interest as a director in telling a story that's already been told or in seeing one that's already been told."
