The prosecution's request for arrest warrants against two former Supreme Court chief justices has been dismissed by a local court.
The Seoul Central District Court's decision means Ko Young-han and Park Byong-dae were free to leave the detention center in the early hours of this morning.
With the hearings for the two retired justices taking place separately on Thursday,... the court found no reason for their arrest,.. and granted their release just past midnight.
The two are suspected of interfering in politically sensitive trials including the compensation suit for Korean forced labor victims against Japanese companies.
