Homeless Man Finds Authentic 'Bambi' Animation Worth Thousands

It was just another day for Adam Gillian, a homeless man when he found some things in the trash to sell to a local antique shop in Edmonton, Canada. Among them was an image of Disney's "Bambi." Shop owner Alexander Archbold thought it was probably a replica of an animation cel, gave him $20 for it, and he left. Alex then realized upon further inspection that it was actually an authentic hand-drawn image with a copyright date of 1937 — five years before the movie debuted.

Wondering what the image would sell for, he put it on eBay, and found that it was worth nearly $2,800 USD. Having experienced homelessness himself growing up, Alex knew he couldn't keep this money for himself. He drove all around Edmonton looking for Adam, and when he finally found him, he invited him into the shop to present him with his share of the profit. Not only that, this story is inspiring people. So much so that they set up a GoFundMe to help Adam get off the streets and back with his children for the holidays.
