'Surviving R. Kelly' Documentary Screening Faced Threatening Phone Calls

A New York screening of the Lifetime documentary “Surviving R. Kelly” was recently evacuated. According to CNN, the screening received “several anonymous threats.” One of those threatening phone calls said if the film continued, someone inside would start shooting. Lifetime network said the safety and security of their guests and staff were “of paramount importance.” Although the threats ended up being noncredible, the network choose to evacuate out of precaution.
