According to Reuters, the man who killed a woman at a white national rally in Virginia panicked after learning he killed someone.
James Fields is on trial for ramming his car into a crown of protesters on a street in Charlottesville last year.
The 21-year-old was attending the Unite the Right rally at a park in the city on Aug. 12, 2017.
Following a contentious confrontation with protesters around the park, Fields fled to his vehicle, and later drove into a crowd, striking numerous people.
