According to the New York Post, she opened up the floor for questions about "anything" and one of them was, "How come you didn't run for president?" "I don't wanna be president! My path has never been politics," Obama commented. "I just happened to marry somebody whose passion was politics. Just because he likes it doesn't mean that I like it!"
Notably, an Axios poll by SurveyMonkey in late October showed the former first lady handily beating President Trump in a hypothetical 2020 matchup. Obama pulled in 55% of the 9,908 respondents' support, compared to the 42% garnered by Trump.
