Was Auctioned for $162,500 Over the weekend, the late Hefner's belongings were auctioned by Julien's Auctions. According to
'The Hollywood Reporter,' Hefner used the typewriter in college to publish the first issue
of 'Playboy.' Hefner's personal set of bound
'Playboy' magazines from 1953 to 2013
were also auctioned for $76,800. Hefner's iconic smoking
jacket sold for $41,600. A gold ring with a Viagra compartment sold for $22,400. According to 'The Hollywood
Reporter,' Jim Belushi paid $3,125
for a 'Saturday Night Live' script from when Hefner hosted and Belushi's brother, John, was part of the cast. Proceeds from the auction went to the Hugh M. Hefner Foundation, which
defends civil rights and civil liberties.
