Slain Missionary's Intensive Training For Encounter With Remote Islanders Was To No Avail

American missionary John Chau was killed after traveling to the remote North Sentinel island.
According to Business Insider, the 26-year-old received emergency medical training and studied linguistics to prepare.
While he was warned numerous times that he could be killed, friends say he believed his small stature would protect him.
When Chau reached the island, he reportedly said, "My name is John, I love you and Jesus loves you.
