Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gets legal notice for ‘calling Hanuman a Dalit’

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has landed himself in trouble after calling Lord Hanuman as ‘Dalit’. In this regard, the Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha of Rajasthan has sent him a legal notice asking him to apologise in three days otherwise a case would be registered against him. Suresh Mishra, President, Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha said, “His comments are totally wrong because we worship Lord Hanuman. A person at such a position should not have said this. In this regard, we sent him a notice from the side of Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha to apologise in three days. He has called Dalit to such entity, whom we all look upto.” On November 29, Yogi Adityanath had said, “Bajrangbali ek aise lok devta hain, jo swayam vanvasi hain, nirvasi hain, Dalit hain, vanchit hain. Bharatiya samudaye ko Uttar se leke Dakshin tak, purab se paschim tak, sabko jodne ka kaam Bajrangbali karte hain.”
