South city mall in Kolkata courted controversy after a woman accused authorities of shaming her after she requested a room to breastfeed her child. The fuss erupted even further when an agency handling the mall's social media accounts asked the woman to breastfeed at home, not in the mall. From calling breastfeeding a home chore to claiming people have a right to privacy, the mall’s respond created outrage. As a result, women from across India posted message on social media and slammed the mall for the rude and aggressive reply.
