"HOME ALONE" WEEK - DAY 1
It appeared that my first evenings fishing during my "home alone" week was going to be a wash-out. It had rained all afternoon and continued into the early evening. This, coupled with a 3.45am start to the day (to take my wife and youngest daughter to the airport) and a busy day at work made me rather less than enthusiastic to hit the river bank.
However, something was niggling at me...."go and put your thermometer in the river and find out what the water temperature is doing"....so I did.
Decision made. Get the rods out and risk a soaking, the figures don't lie.
