Fire At Paper Factory Causes $3m Damage
Footage shows fire fighters battling a huge blaze at a paper production plant which took 20 HOURS to bring under control and caused 3 million USD in damage. Flames spread through the warehouse in Samut Prakan, Thailand, on Wednesday November 21 in the afternoon shortly after more than 800 workers had finished their shift at around 5pm. Investigators said the inferno was caused by workmen repairing a roof of the building when sparks from a welder fell onto the paper being stored below. The men climbed down from the building while around 50 more who were working overtime fled outside into the car park. Fumes from the fire were so bad that nearby residents complained of feeling sick from the smoke and had to wear face masks.
