President Trump told reporters Tuesday he doesn’t “know much about” Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
Trump repeatedly praised Assange's website on the 2016 campaign trial.
“I don’t know anything about him. Really. I don’t know much about him. I really don’t.”
Assange has been in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since July 2012 when the country granted him political asylum.
Trump often praised Wikileaks during his presidential campaign for leaking private emails from the Democratic Committee.
