Economic, Social and Labor Council to hold inaugural meeting at presidential office

The Economic, Social and Labor Council,... a social organization for dialogue officially launches this afternoon at the presidential office.
The council is comprised of labor, business and government representatives as well as members representing the public interest.
But-- with the major labor umbrella group, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions taking a major half-day strike across the nation on Wednesday,... the labor representative is not likely to be in attendance.
President Moon's attendance at the first meeting is seen as his way of empowering the social dialogue,... so that the administration's hope of resolving pending issues through compromise can be realized.
Their first meeting is to focus on the application of flexible working hours.
