S. Korea launches center to promote local defense exports

South Korea has launched an arms export promotion center... to help domestic defense firms branch out to overseas markets.
The opening ceremony of "DExPro,".... or "Defense Export Promotion Center,"... was held today at its headquarters in Gwacheon,... just south of Seoul.
The event was attended by the chief of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Wang Jung-Hong,... along with other key senior officials from the ministry of national defense, the foreign ministry and major defense firms.
The center aims to provide comprehensive support to local defense firms,... to streamline administrative procedures for exports,... and to strengthen networks among South Korean embassies, military attaches and trade promotion officials located in foreign countries.
