The Aston Martin Vanquish is often a super grand tourer designed by British car manufacturer Aston Martin in 2001 as being a successor towards the ageing Virage range. The first-generation V12 Vanquish, produced by Ian Callum and unveiled on the 2001 Geneva Motor Show, was manufactured from 2001 to 2005. The prototype, built with the Ford Motor Company and Indian designer Dilip Chhabria, was driven by James Bond within the 2002 film Die Another Day. In 2004, a powerful version the Vanquish S was crowned the marque's flagship, followed because of the Aston Martin DBS V12 in 2007. The second-generation from the Vanquish has been available since 2012, followed in 2017 through the Vanquish S with a much more powerful engine and improved aerodynamics. The Vanquish was succeeded through the DBS Superleggera in 2018. On 16 November 2016, Aston Martin announced the revolutionary Vanquish S model. The Vanquish S features precisely the same AM29 V12 engine, with power now increased to 595 bhp (444 kW; 603 PS), as well as a new aerodynamic package. The Vanquish S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds, and also the top speed remains unchanged at 201 mph (324 km/h).
