Now we turn to Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates. Michelle, the weather in Seoul was actually pretty good today. But all the attention now is on the conditions for Thursday, the day of the annual college entrance exam. What can you tell us?
Daniel, thankfully the fine weather we had today will continue in Seoul and for most regions in the country tomorrow and on Thursday, the day of the big test. And contrary to popular belief, that the suneung day is the coldest of the season, the mercury will rise to similar or even warmer readings than seasonal averages.
High pressure will help maintain the sky clear. However, hazardous levels of dust will sweep the southern regions tomorrow. Wednesday afternoon highs will rise to the mid-teens,... with similar forecasts for Beijing and Tokyo.
The morning in Seoul starts at 4 degrees Celsius, a lot warmer in Busan and Jeju starting at 9 and 11 degrees respectively.
We will see a huge leap in temperatures by the time we are done with lunch,... with
Seoul peaking at 15 degrees, Daegu at 16 and Gyeongju at 15 .
After the weekend, a cold front will knock our temperatures down to near freezing point,... marking the starting point of multiple days to come bringing bellow average figures.
