Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee dies

Writer Stan Lee, the creator of several Marvel Comics superheroes, died aged 95 on November 12. Lee created or co-created Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Hulk, X-Men, The Avengers and dozens of other characters. He revolutionised comic book heroes by introducing human frailties, giving the characters a new layer of complexity and humanity. Lee was recognised by fans in recent years for his cameo appearances in Marvel’s live-action films.
