Small manufacturers log biggest output drop in 9 years

Meanwhile, more data pointing to a slowdown in Asia's fourth-largest economy.
Data from from Statistics Korea show production by smaller manufacturers was down in the first 9 months of this year... by 4-point-3 percent -- the biggest drop since 2009.
Back then, in the middle of the financial crisis, production had plunged by 8-point-8 percent.
Looking at the depressed numbers more closely, smaller manufacturers have been hit far worse than big business, whose production fell for the first time in three years, but only by zero-point-4 percent.
Experts say that this trend is causing worries because the gap between the size of company's overall production are looking to widen further in the near future.
