Exhibition commemorates 65th anniversary of ROK-U.S. alliance

A special exhibition was held today at the War Memorial of Korea to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Seoul-Washington alliance.
Under the title "The Journey of the Greater Alliance towards Peace,..." hundreds of alliance-related historical documents, photos and videos are on display there.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Park Han-ki,... the Vice Minister of National Defense, Suh Choo-suk,... U.S. Ambassador to Korea Harry Harris... and General Robert Abrams,... who took office just a day earlier as the new commander of UN Command and U.S. Forces Korea.
Ambassador Harris said he will do everything possible to strengthen and the nurture the decades-old relationship.
Commander Abrams... vowed to ensure the alliance remains as strong as ever... in the pursuit of peace from a position of strength.
The exhibition is on until next February.
