1. If the voting machines are not working or are missing some power cables, request a paper ballot.
2. If your name isn’t on the rolls, ask them to check their backups.
3. If you’re told you have the wrong ID, double-check, and then ask for a provisional ballot.
4. If the lines seem too long, try and stick it out. Some states allow you to vote if you’re in line after the polls close.
