In a letter accessed by the itv network- the Maharashtra Forest Dept has blamed the hunter Nawab Ali Khan for missing two golden opportunities to capture the tigress Avni. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis expressed his sadness over the death of Avni. He added that if there have been any procedural lapses, they will be looked into. Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi also tweeted slamming the killing by invoking a quote of Gandhi.
