This is the 2018 Kia Stinger GT-S. Powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 producing 370hp, it’s set to become the South-Korean manufacturer’s flagship model when it arrives in the UK in January 2018.

All the usual Kia traits are present, including extensive standard equipment levels, a seven-year warranty and a comparatively-low price tag, but is that enough to compete in a class filled with high-end rivals from BMW, Audi and Mercedes?
