After attending the tabling of Budget 2019 at the Dewan Rakyat on Friday, former premier Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak told reporters that the United States Department of Justice's (DOJ) has the right to charge fugitive Malaysian financier Jho Low and two former Goldman Sachs bankers over the 1MDB scandal.

The DOJ on Thursday charged Low, Roger Ng and Tim Leissner with conspiring to launder billions of dollars embezzled from Malaysia's sovereign wealth fund 1MDB between 2009 and 2014.
