SC bans sale of firecrackers in Delhi; additional metro trains launched for public

Delhi’s air quality is on the brink of turning severe. The overall air quality index of Delhi was recorded at 392, which falls in the ‘very poor’ category and is just eight points from turning severe. Recently, Supreme Court has restricted bursting of firecrackers on Diwali. The apex court has allowed only green crackers for the festive celebrations, time slots have been fixed for celebrating the festival.
