Assam Killing: 5 killed in the terror attack in Tinsukia

Five people were shot dead by suspected ULFA terrorists in Assam’s Tinsukia district last night. The attack comes weeks after the outlawed outfit detonated a low-intensity bomb in Guwahati on October 13 to protest against the centre’s bid to pass the citizenship (amendment) bill, 2016. Condemning the incident, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wondered whether the attack was a fall out of the recent national register of citizen’s exercise in Assam. The TMC Supremo also said that the perpetrators should be brought to book at the earliest.
