Europeans Are Moving Away
From Facebook For the second quarter in a row, Facebook has lost European users. Two million users have abandoned the service on a monthly basis since Q1. 4 million have ditched it daily. The decline is seen as significant due to the social media giant having more users in Europe
then in the U.S. It comes after the Cambridge Analytica data scandal which damaged Facebook's reputation in the continent. The scandal has led to the creation of
Europe's new privacy law, 'GDPR.' Since the introduction of 'GDPR,' all Facebook users have been required to inspect their privacy settings. As a result, many have dialed down their usage.
