Checkout for Holiday Season The retailer’s new service checkout option The new checkout method will hit all Walmart stores by Black Friday. Shoppers will find Walmart employees throughout the store with devices that will scan bulky items. The handhelds will let customers pay for those items on the spot and have a receipt emailed to them. Walmart will also offer store maps within its mobile app to help shoppers find items faster. Rival retailer Target plans to offer free, two-day shipping with no minimum purchase from now
until Dec. 22. Walmart has no plans to match the deal and will stick to free, two-day shipping for orders over $35.
